IV Condesa del Castellar
1556 – 1626
Nació en Madrid en 1556. Hija de Francisco Ramírez y de Ana de Mendoza, se casó con Fernando de Saavedra, IV Conde del Castellar, el 8 de abril de 1584, obteniendo por tanto el título de IV Condesa del Castellar. Tuvo seis hijos: Ana, Juana, Ana María, Beatriz, Gaspar Juan y Baltasar.

Nació en 1904 en El Viso del Alcor. Desde pequeño tenía inquietudes por inventar aparatos que pudieran facilitar la vida. Uno de sus primeros inventos fue un medidor para vender en las tiendas productos líquidos (como el aceite) aparato que creó estando interno con 12 años en los Salesianos de Utrera. Méndez estudió Ciencias Químicas en Sevilla y acabó estos estudios en la Universidad Central de Madrid.
Fraile-Cronista de la orden de la Merced Descalza
1596 -1668
Nació en Granada el 2 de febrero de 1596. Ingresó, siendo adolescente, en el Convento mercedario de San Laureano. Tomó el hábito en 1611, profesó un año después, estudió Artes y Teología en Sevilla y fue ordenado sacerdote en 1619.
Hernando de Santa María, Comisario General de los mercedarios descalzos, encomendó a Pedro de San Cecilio la ardua tarea de historiar la reformada Orden de la Merced, empeño que llevó a cabo con la redacción de los Annales del Orden de Descalzos de Nuestra Señora de la Merced Redención de cautivos cristianos, editada en 1669 y reeditada en edición facsímil en Madrid en 1985. Por tanto, fue el primer cronista general de la Orden de la Merced Descalza (OMD).
I Conde del Castellar
1410 – 1458
Hijo de Fernán Arias de Saavedra y de Leonor Martel de Peraza, obtuvo el señorío de su casa por la muerte prematura de su hermano Fernán o Hernán en 1410. Fue nombrado alcaide de Jimena de la Frontera en 1431 y, en marzo de 1434, tomó el vecino Castellar cuya alcaidía asumió igualmente.
Conocido como ‘El famoso’, a propósito de sus actividades el cronista Palencia escribió que su “vigilancia y extraordinario arrojo traía desesperados a sus enemigos, cien veces por él derrotados”.

Nació en El Viso del Alcor el 19 de noviembre de 1940. A sus doce años, Juan sintió una gran atracción hacia el Arte y convenció a su padre para que el profesor Antonio Gavira le diera lecciones sobre técnica, dibujo y colores en Mairena del Alcor.
El joven visueño vivió hasta su adolescencia en su pueblo natal, trasladándose luego a Madrid a perfeccionar su técnica. Primero se inclinó por el arte abstracto y el moderno, y luego por el paisaje.

Nació en El Viso del Alcor en 1970 en el seno de la familia cantaora “Los Janega”. Descubierto por Antonio Mairena, “Niño Segundo” comenzó a cantar a los 8 años en la Peña Flamenca “El Rincón del Pilar” de su localidad natal y poco más tarde en peñas de Huelva, Badajoz, Alicante,…
Con 12 años ganó el premio de la Federación Provincial de Sevilla de Entidades Flamencas. Posteriormente, actuó en festivales de toda España con figuras como Camarón o Fosforito, en 1984 grabó un programa para Televisión Española con motivo del Año Internacional del Niño y desde los 20 años actuó en tablaos como Casa Patas (Madrid) o El Cordobés (Barcelona).

Screen-reader optimization: we run a background process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website. In this process, we provide screen-readers with meaningful data using the ARIA set of attributes.
