La Muela Park

Descripción

The origins of La Muela Park date back to 1983, the year in which several actions were carried out to condition this space for public use.

With an approximate extension of 35 hectares, this space is located in La Tablada, at the foot of one of the most important archaeological sites in the region of Los Alcores.
Access to La Muela Park, which is the link between the urban center of the municipality and the Los Alcores Greenway, is very easy and can be done through the streets Sol, La Muela -where the Parque de La Muela Motorhome Area is located- and Cañalizo, or through the Camino de La Estación or the aforementioned Los Alcores Greenway.

In the interior of the park, the El Monte, Sevilla and La Alunada paths converge, along with the La Trocha trail. The fountains of El Sol and La Muela stand out, with their water trough running through the park to the lower area, topped off with a circular pond. Near the Fuente de La Muela there are old washing and watering places from the end of the 19th century.

This natural resource of the first order is one of the hallmarks of El Viso del Alcor. Thanks to its great wealth of fauna and vegetation, La Muela Park has great potential as a sports, educational and ethnological recreation area. In addition to the plant wealth of this space, there are more than 80 catalogued botanical varieties.
To enhance the park’s value, numerous improvements have been made, such as the planting of new tree and shrub species, the management of plant remains, the rehabilitation of paths and trails, the conditioning and provision of rest areas and picnic areas, and works to channel rainwater, among other actions.

Recently remodeled, the Park of La Muela is presented as an important tourist resource, complementary to other tourist attractions such as restaurants, cultural heritage or traditional festivals of the municipality. We invite you to enjoy La Muela Park, the great lung of El Viso del Alcor.
El Viso del Alcor, a heart full of life.
