Capote House

Considered the oldest bar in Viso del Alcor, Casa Capote was founded in 1941 by Ramón Guerrero Borreguero, alias Capote. It did not move to Corredera Street, its current location, until the 1950s. Its beginnings were in a stall located in the Vega area where Guerrero Borreguero sold freshly prepared menudo to the workers who were there. He soon achieved great fame and opened his own business in Corredera Street, where he is also located today.

Manuel Guerrero Roldán, Ramón Guerrero’s son, currently runs this family business that has brought great fame to the visueño menudo thanks to a secret recipe that has never been revealed.

The establishment, of traditional air, is decorated with the numerous photos of personalities that have come there to taste its characteristic tripe. In addition to serving them in tapas and dishes, they sell ninety percent of their production to companies and individuals in tubs.
